i overheard some guys talking about you shouldn't rest over a minute doing calves because they are fast twitch? any truth to that?
Numbers from 27 yr old bodybuilders: Lateral Gastrocnemius - 53% Type I, 47% Type IIa/b Medial Gastrocnemius - 56% Type I, 44% Type IIa/b Soleus - 74% Type I, 27% Type IIa/b From this study you can see that the calves are more slow twitch than fast twitch. However, I think you should train according to your goal, not for your fiber type.
