so I drink my shakes usually by mixing them with a spoon, I've thrown up while drinking shakes but I sitll do it to tuff it out, they taste like shit, clunky, etc well today I tried a blender...holy shit, went down smooth and it was good

I picked up a bottle of siberian ginseng and some product called revxp(came attached to my protein container), took them before my workout today, and felt like the energizer bunny. I love this stuff. The ginseng is pretty straight forward, but I was wondering if anybody knew of what the revxp is made of and what exactly it does. RevXP: Per serving (3 capsules):Green Tea Extract: 900mg Yerba Mate Extract: 600mg Coleus Forskolii Extract: 360mg "6-pack" (prorietary blend): 350mg - Dandelion leaf and root - Synephrine - Octopamine - 4-Hydroxyisoleucine - Amentoflavone - Piper Nigrum

Forskolin is often added to thermos, It supposedly releases cAMP, to boost fat burning rate. Yerba Mate is a caffeine source though I'm not sure.

my understanding is that it has caffeine, theobromine and forskolin in it, but I'm not sure what else. Nor do i know what exactly the ingredients do... it appears that this stuff is marketed the same way other "fast weight loss formula"s are. edit: beaten by the all mighty hotness himself, Timber edit again: my "knowledge" is worthless

Ok, so for the past 1.5 years I've been practicing brazilian jiu jitsu pretty intensely, 4 times a week and for maybe 2-3 hours each time. Bjj = submission wrestling. So as of late, I've noticed more and more pain coming to my left knee and shin until now its just unbearable to even touch the skin. When i am actually grappling, I hardly feel the pain, but before and after the practice it kills. Any advice as to what I should do?

Take a week off from grappling and let it heal.

Being in BJJ myself (With a patella kneebrace), i'd do as Lurker says and stay out for a week, and wear a basic knee brace/wrap to keep it compressed and see what happens.

have to rest and take a break! you are getting signals and warnings from your body for no reason. if taken care properly, you are gonna be good after, so please be patient for your body to heal. and i suggest when you get back, do proper warm up and stretches before.

Take a week off now with still over 2 months of training time left or keep on with an injury, possibly having to take a break to heal close to the tournament and really lose out on valuable practice time. Even worse would be to develop an injury that takes you completely out of it so that you can't compete in the tournament at all because you didn't want to give your body a chance to heal.

I messed up my knee about 8 months ago. Its getting better and I went out and ran a half mile last week. which just made my knee worse and sore for a few days. So no more running until its completely better. What else can I do for cardio? I used a rowing machine a lot last summer which helped a lot.

you could just keep diet in check and you could lose fat that way. you could also swim or possibly bike?

eliptical machine if you have access to one. Great cardio workout, but easy on the knees/shins etc.

8 months and your knee is no better? Did you have surgery on it? If not, then you probably need it. If so, then you must not have done any rehab. Don't hold your breath for it to get any better unless you have it checked out (possibly again) by a doctor.

I got the same problem. I have a messed up and knee and it is time to cut. I have found the only thing to do is have a strict diet and do what you can on the elliptical machine. Or I dont know if you have access to one of these, but in my school's gym there is this cardio machine that you only use your arms for, its like a bicycle machine for arms.
