I'm so confused about running now...

I'm so confused about running now...

We start running tomorrow in gym class and my goal is to burn fat. I'm a decent runner but don't know how to burn fat best. With all the recent threads about how its best to run in the morning, before meals, speed of running, blah blah it gets me confused. If i want to burn as much fat as possible during the run, how should i go about it? If i run at a steady, relatively quick pace i will be burning fat. If i decide to push myself, and run harder, is there a chance that i'll burn LESS fat and just improve my cardiovascular system. Tomorrow i figure i'll run 4-5km, how long should it take me to have an effective fat burning workout. i'm just confused... Thanks in advance.

christophers minutia. doing low intensity cardio in the morning on an empty stomach = will utilize more fat during activity, however in the absolute end this is not very important as the total deficit per day is what dictates fat loss. running on an empty stomach when intensity is higher than walking isnt going to help you much. your body will turn to any glycogen it can to fuel the activity. contrary to what many think just because you are on an empty stomach does not mean you are completely void of glycogen, and running = higher intensity = glycogen demanding like my ol pal john berardi says, it doesnt matter when you do it.. just that you do it. thanks, but that still leaves the burning question: Will running harder, pushing myself to my limits always be beneficial? i.e if i decide in the middle of my run to run extra hard for the last couple km will i be burning MORE fat? or should i just stay steady.

Bush77 thanks, but that still leaves the burning question: Will running harder, pushing myself to my limits always be beneficial? i.e if i decide in the middle of my run to run extra hard for the last couple km will i be burning MORE fat? or should i just stay steady. It's not going to make much of a difference.

Question about the vitamins I just purchased

Question about the vitamins I just purchased

I got GNC Mega Men vitamins from GNC since it's close by. Link: http://www.gnc.com/productDetails.as...170230&lang=en My question is... the serving size is 2 tablets, but would taking only 1 provide roughly the same benefits? I don't know very much about vitamins aside from the very basics, and I don't want to be taking 2 if it's really going to do me no good, might as well let the vitamins last twice as long

decent, but over priced

mtnbike4522 decent, but over priced That aside, what about my question?

If the serving size is 2, take 2.

How would u describe this body? *pics*

What do you think of this guys physique? It's Ryan Reynolds btw.. from blade trinity, amityville horror, van wilder etc.. Few pics.. hard to find good ones.. but if u watch his movies when he takes his top off.. ya get to fully appreciate him: It think he's in great shape.. nothing OTT but very well defined and proportioned.. and with his top on he's very undercover.. my role model / inspiration. Anyway, are there any names for that sort of physique? Would you say he's slim yet toned? Or could u describe him as built? His waist is probably only around 30inches I'm guessing..

he has a good diet, and appears to do a little lifting. More of an athletic build then a bb build.

He's very, very lean with better-than-average arms.

Here are some more pics:http://forums.offtopic.com/showthrea...=ryan+reynolds I just bumped the thread so it didn't get purged.

athletic more muscle wouldnt hurt?

good ab genes.. mine are not aligned well could be thicker in the chest though

no pics of legs no care

I don't understand how people classify others as having athletic builds ... Football players have athletic builds, basketball players, tennis players, long distance runners, I mean wtf? Pretty much anybody without an excessive amount of body fat has an "athletic build" and I think that doesn't even completely encompass the term. Oh and I think he looks thin... but then again I would probably look that thin if I cut down, which I don't plan on doing for the next year or so.

this is like a brad pitt from fight club thread. Plz don't post again. most people who lift seriously are a lot bigger than those pansys.

In the magazine article it claims he dropped his bf% down to 3%. Thats gotta be bs.

N.A Honda In the magazine article it claims he dropped his bf% down to 3%. Thats gotta be bs. he also says something like "dont do any of that low carb nonsense" and then look at the diet they list for him

hot

could use a bit bigger of a chest to fit his arms. but he's a pretty realistic & better than brad pit body for the average person to be going for.

Perplexed "easily attainable"? He's bigger and more defined than the majority of people on this board are now and will ever be.

tize hes not very big prolly 6'0 170lbs Appearing bigger than weight > your fat ass nude pics

That little fagmo needs to learn GFH.

Easily Attainable is probably right. He said in a magazine interview that it took him 3 months of daily DEDICATED (not sure if this is the right word...but he worked like from 9-5 or some crap) hard work to get there. That would probably equal to about 7 months of average work of almost dedicated (i.e. 3months a week)?

Neo22 He's bigger and more defined than the majority of people on this board are now and will ever be. .

Quite good. All kidding aside, that is the body that most not-so-serious people want, and hell, most of the people in here don't even have it. He obviously has the money and time to dedicate to this, so he has a step up from Joe Average...

Oh, and really nice delts.

not my cup of tea but i give him credit he busted his ass to pack on a little more mass than brad pitt.

I wouldn't mind looking like that at all

Heck give Noxen a few more months and he'll end up looking like that.

y0gfx Heck give Noxen a few more months and he'll end up looking like that. Not even close.

so i hear that fat turns into muscle.. so if im really skinny...5'6" and i only weight 118 lbs. is there a point to working out? i eat as much as i want and i cant gain any weight

-iLLuZioN_B18C1 so i hear that fat turns into muscle.. i eat as much as i want and i cant gain any weight No, you heard wrong. Fat does not turn into muscle. And 2nd, anyone can gain weight. You're just not eating as much as you think you are.

you heard wrong

put a dick in your ear and fuck what you heard

you're going to get the same response from everyone here man...you aren't eating enough lift weights, eat, and get enough sleep, you will get bigger. and for many, me included, eating is the hardest part of that equation...

Fat does not turn into muscle. Eat more and lift hard.

this forum is going downhill. fast.

dank this forum is going downhill. fast. hardly the thread to say that in, tool.

noxen, mind posting some before and current pics for this guy? read the stickies, read the archives, read read read. then go out and eat eat eat (learn to count calories, excess calories = increased weight). find a basic routine (maybe try christopher's, search for "christopher's routine") and start building a base. keep eating, keep working out. decide for yourself when you want to cut (you'll get partialy fat), most people here will say cut at 230.. get informed, and decide when you yourself want to cut.

Undefined put a dick in your ear and fuck what you heard

kronik85 noxen, mind posting some before and current pics for this guy? werdna would be a better example

dank this forum is going downhill. fast. good then stay the out, never seen you in here giving all your wonderful advice in the first place

Undefined put a dick in your ear and fuck what you heard

dont eat as much as you want. eat as much as you can.

If I can gain weight anyone can gain weight. If I can put on muscle, anyone can put on muscle. You can do it. You're just not trying hard enough.

go_duke21 werdna would be a better example i've never seen werdna's... /shrug. heh, show christian bale's machinist to batman transformation...

Basically its a fact that you will gain weight if you eat in excess of your maintnance calories. So obviously your not eating over what your body burns off.

I try to tell them the truth, but they have a fucking thick head. Anyone else have to deal with dumb people like I have to.

Your friend couldn't find his asshole with both hands and a funnel.

my boss is like 42 and he runs half marathons. Hes now training for full marathons and he keeps saying how his legs are getting bigger. I"m like WTF??

well some muscle MUST be gained right? if you are running for years and years, or cycling, shouldnt you have at least moderately larger calves etc than someone who doesnt (and doesnt weight train)? I had to bike every day to school starting in junior high and i noticed my legs grew far more than my puny arms

BlinginAssRims i think the idea behind this thread is that these fools think that running builds more leg muscle than say goodmorning squats. well yes, they would obviously be stronger and possibly larger compared to somebody who doesn't do any physical activity besides sitting on his/her ass all day.

depends, maybe he means sprints. In that case he could be right?

wow

any reason not to take these together?

I think its recommended to take ECY and things of that nature off your cycle of clen, not during.
