fine, I stress too much, who am I kidding I eat them too, and no where did I say to AVOID them... I just mentioned they have a fairly high GI and should be limited. When someone says don't worry so much about the gi, that's just stupidity. I guess this is where a bodybuilders view to a powerlifters view will strongly vary. I learn the proper and best way, and have stuck with it for a couple years. Maybe you're right that it is very minimal, but why take the chance?

christophers dude, it has nothing to do with being a pl'r or a bb'r. do you forget that my nutritional knowledge is up there too? both in experience with myself and people who i have worked with? i've helped a variety of people, from "ectos" to "endos" to "obese" to dangerously skinny. do i need to list people i've taken to higher levels than you are at while being leaner? i'm not trying to be a dick, but one shouldn't attempt to discredit me because i powerlift. it's like trying to discredit lyle mcdonald beacuse he isn't big, yet he is one of the brightest minds in the _entire world_ nutrition wise. of course, i am not saing i'm anywhere near lyle, but the point still stands. I was sick of the same old Vanilla/Choc/Straw/Banana options, so i opted out and spent a bit more on the Fruit Blast. this shit is awesome, i actually look forward to taking the shakes. I had a bicycle accident last night and dislocated my shoulder. It popped back in on its own. It hurts like a mofo and it feels like i tore up my rotator cuff. Any recommendations on physical therapy? Know how long it usually takes for something like this to heal?

I've had mine do that same thing many times. What i do is move my shoulder as little as possible for about a week or until it doesn't hurt when i move it. Then when i start doing presses i start out light and go up in weight as long as it doesn't hurt. I don't stretch it hard, i just get the muscles warmed up before I lift.

So im at my gym doing my thing today mostly just farting around on the tredmill because I started Christophers routine in the middle of the week and I dont want to get super serious about it until monday where I can really go at it. Anyways im noticing my gym has about a 50/50 split when it comes to free weights versus machines. I know most if not all of yall lift with free weights so you can work your stabalizers. That being said since I have no work out partner and I wanted to find my max on like bench or squats could I get a accurate number from the bench press machine/leg press machine? Is there a disadvantage other than stabalizers to useing machines?

Anyone?

Why don't you use dumbbells I sometimes don't have a workout partner either and just use the dumbbells for most stuff.

no you can not get an acurate number, ask for a spot, i do all of the time.

Yeah your gym should have people that can help with a spot. If not, then your gym most likely blows.

I found this article earlier today and had to hear some reactions. I have mentioned Phosgene, which is used to make sucralose, here before, but this seems like a new aspect of the story. It sounds like the town where this is going on, has some real environmental concerns. Phosgene, which is derived from chlorine, is usually made on the site where it's used, primarily because of safety issues involved in storing and shipping it.

Nobody else finds this interesting? This little town seems like it has some serious concerns given the amount of chemicals in the area. I don't think I would want huge amounts of this Phosgene stuff in my town.

Lots of toxic chemicals are used everyday to make millions of other things in America.

There aren't huge amounts of phosgene in the town .. read closely, the phosgene is made onsite as needed, not trucked or railed in

It just seems like the town already has environmental concerns; therefore, the last thing the town needs is additional chemical development. Both chlorine and phosgene seem a bit more dangerous as manufacturing tools than I originally would have thought.
