I have moved out of the basement

I have moved out of the basement

After an extremely sketchy ten days of discomfort at my usual basement location, the wind has blown my skinny ass to the gym. It was a good 7wks or so of lifting in the basement, but after enough complaints to keep the noise down and constant interruptions from everybody in the house, it became clear that I need to go elsewhere to get better results. I'll post current pics of myself probably tomorrow to see how little I exaggerate. I've gained 20lbs over 7wks standing in front of the fridge and my clothes fit a little better, but I'm still a rake.

superbri007 Did you have a spotter in your basement, I personally would not go as heavy as possible by myself, don't wanna pass out or get pinned, etc. my uncle spots me. he's also going back to lifting after a looong hiatus, but he's being a bitch and won't gym with me.

superbri007 Did you have a spotter in your basement, I personally would not go as heavy as possible by myself, don't wanna pass out or get pinned, etc. and at first, I thought you meant you were living in your basement or are you?

Okay as promised, I found a pic I snapped real quick about a week ago. I have a long way to go.

So how come you just started lifting? Getting in shape for summer?

i like your attitude

Socrates So how come you just started lifting? Getting in shape for summer? when i was 11-13 i used to use those starter weights your parents would give for christmas just to see if they'd be touched. i used to do be heavy into track up until junior in hs, then it was all about booze and pussy. i developed full-blown asthma, and diabetes runs through our family. so instead of becoming like the rest of the old family, i stopped smoking altogether, drinking is minimized to absolute interest (i have little nowadays), and i'm back to being active in sports.

Does taurine have any real effects?

Does taurine have any real effects?

Or is it all psychological. I am to lazy to look up actual studies on the subject.

ur eyes be made up of it. so good for the eyes

what did that answer? it's probably all psychological. I've been taking 1000mg for a pretty long time and don't know what it's doing.

you said you were too lazy to look up for studies on it, i gotcha the studies. now read up

to me, doesn't really matter if it's psychological. physiological or psych, if it "works," by all means... when i was a kid, my lil sis was terrified of dogs, so i gave her these little beads and told her they were special and that if she threw them at a dog she was scared of, it would back off... and she stopped getting scared but then again, it would have been pretty bad if she had thrown them at a pitbull and gotten mauled...

nonplus but then again, it would have been pretty bad if she had thrown them at a pitbull and gotten mauled... that thought just popped in my head, dogs don't like shit thrown at them

Elbow Injury

Elbow Injury

So today mid chest and tri workout. I notice a killer pain in my elbow, I had problems with it when I was younger but havent the past 3 years I have been training. What can I do to warm it up/ strech pre work out and exercises to make it stronger.

Well, actually, you should rest it for a week AT LEAST. Make sure you warm up your forearms and upper arms. Then gradually work your self up to what you normally lift. Don't keep reinjurying yourself, that's just dumb.

with your injured elbow, make a straight arm. put your palm up and with your other hand pull your palm down. then do it the oppositte way with your palm down and press down on it with your other hand. i disclocated my elbow years ago, so thats how i know. you definitely didnt disloacte your elbow but at least this stretching will get the blood flowing and warm it up a bit.

Well its a bit hard to say what the injury is with 'I noticed a killer pain', anyway, warm up a bit before, and dont lock your elbows Just a side note, one of the main benefits of warming up, is not to 'get the blood flowing' but rather to increase the viscosity of the synovial fluid in the joint capsule surrounding the elbow joint, allowing more frictionless movement. Synovial fluid viscosity decreases with increases in temperature and joint velocity

happened to me a while ago, i worked through the pain and it went away in a few weeks

Anyone know the macro breakdown of those soft pretzels?

Anyone know the macro breakdown of those soft pretzels?

Specifically the brown sugar/ cinnamon flavoured ones you can pick up at theatres?

They have 100g of FUCKING DELICIOUS GOODNESS and 2g of heart attack per serving.

I'll have two or three on my carb loading days then. Those I get a craving for whenever I go to the theatre.

Yeah theres one of those places in a mall near me, you can smell them for miles. So good... Oh, and heres a nutrition chart from a chain that sells them: http://www.auntieannes.com/PDFS/abm462NutGuid1_29.pdf

I used to work at Auntie Annes. Believe it or not, the pretzels taste like shit after eating them for a year.
