Damn I was huge(FAT). I went form 240 to 180, from there I hovered around 185-190 for a while. I've been bulking and I'm at 200 right now. I decided I'm at a good size so I'm going to try and get to about 8-10% bf @ 190. I would try and get larger but with my future career ahead of me, I'm not going to be able to maintain a large size. This was me, about is July 2002 - 240 lbs and this is me recently at 185lbs This is me now at 200lbs, cold yes yes, the angle is odd on the last one. Its not that flattering taking a front shot Maybe I'll post again when I get to around 10% bf Now-a-days I workout 5-6 times a week. Couple weeks ago did a 7 mile run. I've gone through military training, I have a new girlfriend/fiancee. Sure beats sitting around eating cheezits and moutain dew all day. in other news, I put up 100lb DB's on incline today for the first time, 8 times

I do decline just as much as flat and incline, with similar weight. what else can I do besides decline press and decline butterfly to target my lower pecs? Even when I was 180 I still had gyno type fat. My chest really is my strong point, in person at least.

You need to tailor fit the rep scheme to the exercise and fit it with the rep schemes of other exercises that work the same group. For example if one week I do 8,6,4,4,2 on flat bb bench then I will usually do something like 3x6-8 on db incline bench and 3x8-10 for flies. EDIT: Oh and if you are 122, you DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, ever need to do cardio. In fact anytime the thought pops into your mind go to your kitchen, get a plate, pile as much food as humanly possible on that plate, and sit there until you eat it all.

Compound movements (ie. bench, squat, DL, rows) are usually done in the lower rep range although it is important to vary the reps to get a wide variety and increase strength and hypertrophy. Accessory movements (ie. flies, curls) are usually done in a slightly higher rep range.

Whats up. Well, heres the story. Last week I tried to do box squatting, and I will still trying to get comfortable with it. After doing it with low weight, I put on 315, as that is my usual first set (after warming up a bit with 225) I come down tap the seat, and go up...next rep, i come down a bit too fast and end up sitting on the box, but i can't get it back up. So I rest for a moment, and end up straining myself and trying to adjust my footing to get a better position to stand up with the weight. I get it up. However, I end up feeling this sharp pain around my mid-lower back around the spine. CRAPP. my first squatting injury. Whatever, I made the mistake of doing another few sets with lighter weight. After I woke up, my back was killing me. Sharp pains whenever I moved the wrong way...I decided to take it easy for the next few days and not do anything that strains my back. So it was a week since the incident, last night. I was eager to try squatting again. Warmed up 225, no problem. put on 315, got it off the rack no problem, got ready to go down, and suddenly i felt a tiny shift in that same spot on my spine. Hurt like a betch. Racked the BB, and got off. Ended up doing Bench/Shoulder/Tri last night. Woke up, I could barely get out of bed. Didn't go to school, and I'm stranded at home. Now, my mom wants to take me to get acupuncture. WTF, I never believed in that oriental medicine crap. Acupuncture is supposed to release Chi? Uh, Chi only reminds me of Naruto and chakra or something. I dunno, I think they're going to put needles in my back and draw some blood. My mom got it done to her shoulder last week and she said it helped. BS. I would rather get x-rays done to make sure everything is okay. Either that, or I could wait another two weeks to make sure it heals up . I know I made some bad decisions in trying to put up that much weight with box squats initialy, and trying to squat again after a week of injury. But thats besides the point. What do you guys think of acupuncture? Is it legit? Does it work? I find it hard to believe that a few pokes with some long needles will help my spine heal. Also, do you guys have any other suggestions or comments? I'm ready for flames for my stupidity, thats understood. Acupuncture basically made all my knee pain go away....the needles really aren't bad at all, they aren't thick like drug needles. Go for it...

dont be afraid of the needles. u wont feel a thing and u probably wont see them either if its on ur back so that shouldn't be a concern. its worth a shot i say. but your best bet to heal is probably just resting for a few weeks. i doubt an xray shows anything abnormal but get one of those two if you've got insurance just to be sure.

superbri007 I just got it today, and I love it, its relaxing. The best part about it is just laying there for 20 mins in a silent room stairing at the ceiling. The needles don't hurt really, unless they put it in a little too far geez. in 9th grade i had to get my immunizations for highschool and football. i nearly passed out after 2 shots...and this was after trying to pretend like i was all cool about it. at least i'm not diabetic like my aunt who takes 7 shots of insulin a day.

superbri007 dude, give it 2 weeks, rest yourself, stretch out, don't lift anything heavy, get some accupuncture, but also get chiropractic re-alignment first!. I go every monday for 10-30 mins or so. get my back aligned, then get accupuncture for sinus's and wherever I'm getting spasms from lifting, etc. wtf realignment? i hope nothing is out of place.

Came back from it not too long ago. All he did was ask me what happened, and before i finished explaining he said "okay, get on the bed" (in korean) he started poking the general area with his fingers, made a fist and pushed extremely hard. f'in hurt. he's like "okay, its a dam" meaning a stress cramp? so he gets this pen like jig, and starts poking holes in my back...and doesn't stop. it must've been literally 100 holes. then he puts these glass cups on my back and uses this manual vacuum to pump out the air. so after waiting 10 minutes, he comes back and releases the cups and wipes away all the blood, which felt like it was a lot. result? i don't really feel any better. he says it will after a day or two, and he wants me to come back tomorrow. looks really ugly too. (you're not seeing things, my right lat is bigger than my left lat. )

I just starting running to prepare myself for the citadel in the fall i have a question after i go about a mile i get pains/ cramps on my side directly across from my navel. anyone know how i can prevent this or know what this is. i drink about 6 bottles a of water + some gatoraide per day so i dont think i am dehydrated but i'm not sure thanks

i used to get that when i ran for soccer. our coach told us to put our hands behind our head while we were running and take deep breaths. seemed to work for me

Grandpa Cramps can be caused by a couple of things. It's a myth that putting your hands over your head helps. It's actually the deep breathing that helps. And like stated above, don't drink an exceptional amount before running. Except movement from the weight in your stomach also causes the cramps. I think the underlying cause of both is pressure on your diaphragm, but don't quote me on that. thanks

I found this in a snopes article, citing Engel & Malloy, 1993 A form of muscle cramp, stitches are caused by the blood supply to the diaphragm being shut off by pressure from the lungs above and the abdomen below, like a bomb and a submarine attack at the same time. So what does this have to do with food? Well, if you have food in your stomach you are likely to develop stomach cramps. Here's why: To aid digestion the heart pumps a large volume of blood to the stomach. During exercise, the heart pumps blood to the muscles, and the flow of the blood to the stomach is greatly diminished. Without the blood supply, the stomach muscles suffer from lack of oxygen and, like any muscle without oxygen, develop cramps. I also looked at PubMed, a bloke named Morton DP has done a fair bit of research on ETAP, he has reached several conclusions The results indicate that in order to avoid ETAP, susceptible individuals should refrain from consuming reconstituted fruit juices and beverages similarly high in carbohydrate content and osmolality, shortly before and during exercise. Further, the mechanism responsible for the heightened experience of ETAP in the FJ trial extends beyond a gastric mass explanation. CONCLUSION: Training status alters the frequency of occurrence of ETAP but has little effect on the incidence or severity of the pain. Further, ETAP and STP decrease with age but are not related to gender or BMI. In order to fix the cramps in your sides: 1) Do not eat 2 hours before you run. (May vary) 2) Do not drink for about an hour and a half before you run. (May vary) 3) If you follow 1 and 2, and you get a cramp, run anyway, your body must learn the hard way.

It can really go either way. I've had girls tell me how much thicker I was than last time they saw me just from looking or from a hug. On the other hand others have told me how fat I look since I used to be so skinny.

in the morning when i wake up, one of my eye is smaller than the other, and when i completely relax the muscles on my face, it feels like the skin around smaller eye is kinda swollen or "lazy", causing it to feel like it doesnt want to open up usually at night this feeling goes away and my eye would be wide open again, but i was just wondering if theres any quick solutions to "wake my eye up"
